a. Simeon was prepared because he was righteous

b. Simeon was prepared because he was devout

c. Simeon was prepared because he expected the Messiah

d. Simeon was prepared because he was under the Spirit’s control

Psalms 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your Salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.

III. THE SONG OF PRAISE TO GOD FOR CHRIST

a. He praised God for keeping His word

b. He praised God for his salvation

c. He praised God for the salvation of the whole world

Psalm 98:3 He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Isaiah 52:10 The Lord has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, That all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God.

a. Jesus was appointed for this time
