His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.
Daniel 7:9 (NASB) “I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow and the hair of His head like pure wool.
Hebrews 4:12 (NASB) 12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
I. JOHN REACTS IN FEAR TO THE GLORIFIED CHRIST
Daniel 10:7-9 (NASB) Now I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, while the men who were with me did not see the vision; nevertheless, a great dread fell on them, and they ran away to hide themselves. 8 So I was left alone and saw this great vision; yet no strength was left in me, for my natural color turned to a deathly pallor, and I retained no strength. 9 But I heard the sound of his words; and as soon as I heard the sound of his words, I fell into a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.
Ezekiel 1:28 (NASB) 28 As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.

II. JOHN RECEIVES ASSURANCE FROM THE GLORIFIED CHRIST
Exodus 3:14 (NASB) 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”

Isaiah 44:6 (NASB) 6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.

III. JOHN RESPONDS DUTIFULLY TO THE GLORIFIED CHRIST
Matthew 11:10 (NASB) 10 “This is the one about whom it is written, ‘behold, I send My messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way before You.’
Luke 7:24 (NASB) 24 When the messengers of John had left, He began to speak to the crowds about John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
Luke 9:52 (NASB) 52 and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him.
2 Corinthians 8:23 (NASB) 23 As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you; as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, a glory to Christ.
James 2:25 (NASB) 25 In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?
