  1. You don’t have to know anything about their religion if you take the time to listen to what they believe.
  2. Look for inconsistencies in their religious worldview. Example: karma.
  3. Look for ways that their humanity conflicts with their religion.
  4. Love them, show hospitality, pray in front of them. Talk about your relationship with God. Talk about the forgiveness of God.

QUESTIONS TO ASK TO CHALLENGE ADHERENTS OF OTHER RELIGIONS:

  1. Does the religion believe in a deity?
  2. Is there only one deity or multiple deities?
  3. Is the deity personal or impersonal?
  4. Is the deity absolute in its power and being?
  5. Has the deity revealed itself? In what way?
  6. What is the deity’s relation to the universe? Transcendent or immanent?
  7. Is the universe the way it should be, or not?
  8. What is the nature of the human being?
  9. Are there such things as good and evil, right and wrong?
  10. Are people basically good or bad?
  11. If there is evil/sin/brokenness, is redemption available?
  12. Can a person gain assurance and full possession of redemption/enlightenment in this life?
  13. What will be the end of all things?
  14. Is there any kind of future judgment?
  15. How to explain the existence of other religions?
  16. Is culture necessarily tied to the religion or is it universal?
  17. Does this religion have grounds to consistently oppose evils such as oppression and genocide?
  18. Would adherents participate in the resistance to oppression and genocide?
