3. He possesses omniscience

Mark 2:8 Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, *said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?

4. He possesses omnipotence
Psalms 19:1-6 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. (2) Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. (3) There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. (4) Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun, (5) Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. (6) Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
Ephesians 1:20-23 He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, (21) far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 5. He possesses immutability

6. He possesses life in Himself
Acts 17:28 (NASB) for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’

- He created everything

2. He holds everything together
Hebrews 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.
Colossians 1:17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
3. He forgives sin
Mark 2:5-10 And Jesus seeing their faith *said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” (6) But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, (7) “Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?” (8) Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, *said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts? 4. He will raise the dead and judge them
John 6:39-40 “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. (40) “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

5. He receives worship

c. Christ has the names and titles of God
- He called Himself the Son of God

Matthew 26:63-64 (NASB) 63 But Jesus kept silent. 2. He is called Lord and God
John 20:28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

3. He is called King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Revelation 19:16 (NASB) And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

d. Christ Himself claimed to be God
John 10:30-33 (NASB) 30 “I and the Father are one.” 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.”
John 8:56-59 (NASB) 56 “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.
