The Fearsome Four – Revelation 9:13-21
I. THERE WILL BE INCREASED DEMONIC ACTIVITY
Hebrews 8:5 …Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, “SEE,” He says, “THAT YOU MAKE all things ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN WHICH WAS SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN.”
a. The demons come from a distinct place
2 Peter 2:4 (NASB) For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment;
Daniel 10:11-13 (NASB) 11 He said to me, “O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12 Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia.
Isaiah 65:24 (NASB) “It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
b. The demons come for a distinct purpose
Matthew 24:22 (NASB) “Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
II. THERE WILL BE MUCH DESTRUCTIVE ACTIVITY
a. The number of the army
b. The characteristic of this army
III. THERE WILL BE STIFF NECKED DEPRAVED ACTIVITY
a. The depravity is seen in their worship
b. The depravity is seen in their work
Genesis 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Ezekiel 33:11 (NASB) …As I live!’ declares the Lord God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die…?’
