The Angelic Preachers: Part 1 (Revelation 14:6-7 )

I. THE FIRST PREACHING ANGEL

a. He preaches to all people

Revelation 12:9 (NASB) And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Acts 2:6 (NASB) And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.

2 Peter 3:9 (NASB) The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

b. He preaches the eternal gospel

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Galatians 1:6-8 (NASB) 6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

2 Peter 1:20-21 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

Genesis 49:10 “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

Micah 5:2 “But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”

Revelation 19:10 For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

John 5:39 “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;

John 20:5 and stooping and looking in, he saw* the linen wrappings lying there; but he did not go in.

Matthew 26:53 “Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

1 Corinthians 4:9 we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.

1 Corinthians 11:10 Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head,

Ephesians 3:10 so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.

Matthew 24:14 “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

c. He preaches a direct message

Proverbs 9:10 (NASB) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 23:17 (NASB) Do not let your heart envy sinners, But live in the fear of the Lord always.

1 Peter 2:17 (NASB) Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.

Nehemiah 9:6 (NASB) “You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.

Psalms 33:6-9 (NASB) 6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host. 7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
