An Uncompromising Life – Daniel 1:1-8

I. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE YOUTHS WHO WERE TAKEN

a. These youths were physically capable

b. These youths were mentally sharp

1. They showed intelligence

2 Timothy 2:2 (NASB) The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

2. They were endowed with understanding

c. These youths had good social ability

II. THE DILEMMA THAT YOUTHS FACED

a. They had an authority dilemma

b. They had a morality dilemma

c. They had an identity dilemma

III. THE CRITICAL DECISIONS WERE MADE FROM THEIR HEART

a. Their decisions were from their heart

b. Their decision was made in humility

“Dare to be a Daniel

Dare to stand alone

Dare to have a purpose firm

Dare to make it known”
